The Evel Knievel Museum Is Moving To Las Vegas
The Evel Knievel Museum is moving to Las Vegas. There’s no denying Evel Knievel is a name that will forever be linked to our city. The legendary motorcycle stuntman performed many of his death defying stunts in the Las Vegas valley, including the world famous new year’s eve 1967 jump over the Caesar’s Palace fountain. So, it makes so much sense that Las Vegas will soon be home to a museum that honor’s his life.
The Evel Knievel Museum Is Currently In Kansas
Currently, the museum calls the city of Topeka, Kansas its home. However, it’ll only be there until November 2nd, when it closes its doors and gets ready to move to Las Vegas.
The Evel Knievel Museum Isn’t The Only Thing Coming To Las Vegas
According to a report by channel 3 (KSNV – Las Vegas) the Evel Knievel Museum will be part of a new downtown project that will also include a coffee house and a pizza parlor. The pizza shop is said to be another creation by Branden Powers, who helped build Golden Tiki and Evel Pie, and is said to be inspired by heavy metal. Channel 3’s reporting also mentions that Dapper Companies will be the construction company to work on the project. And the move is expected to be fully completed by early next year, with the museum set to have its grand opening shortly after.

They will soon begin construction on the 32,000 square foot Mission Linen building, which is located in the Arts District, at the corner of 1st Street and Coolidge Ave.
Some History About The Current Museum
The original museum opened its doors in 2017 and offers a deep dive into the stuntman’s life and adventures. According to an article The Topeka Capital Journal, the museum is attached to a Harley Davidson store. Both business plan to vacate the current building by the end of the year.
