Hats Off: Local Teen Starts Clothing Charity For Kids In Foster Care
Jeff & Aimee are back for another local Hats Off story!
Las Vegas teen Nijel Murray started the non-profit charity Klothes 4 Kids in 2o17 to give back to kids in foster care. The charity sprouted after Nijel’s family took in a kid in foster care.
At the time, Nijel’s foster brother was in desperate need of new clothes. The majority of his apparel was either too big or too small, so wearing them at school just wasn’t an option. After experiencing the stress of needing to get new clothes for someone in foster care Nijel decided to make a change with Klothes 4 Kids!
“I try to give them clothes they feel comfortable wearing.” But Nijel Murray’s collections of donated clothes are more than just comfort: they’re compassion, empowerment & love,” says KSNV News 3 reporter Gabby Hart.
