Hats Off: Teenager On A Road Trip To Disney World Saves Toddler From Drowning
Jeff & Aimee are giving a Hats Off to a teenage hero!
13-year-old Kaydence Henslee was at Disney World spending her Spring Break with her family. One day while relaxing at the pool, Kaydence noticed a toddler unconscious facing down in the deep end of the pool.
“I was scared and nervous and afraid, but my instincts kicked in,” Kaydence told KRQE. “I just saw her kind of floating. She wasn’t technically on the bottom when I was there.”
Kaydence and another good samaritan immediately pulled the toddler out of the water. The toddler was two-year-old Haven Williams.
Thankfully, Haven is going to make a full recovery after life-saving CPR from Kaydence and the good samaritan. Haven was transported to a hospital.
