Hats Off: NASCAR Driver Honors Local Organ Donors
Jeff & Aimee are tipping their hats to a NASCAR driver!
NASCAR Driver Joey Gase honored organ donors and their families by decorating his vehicle with the stories of the organ donors. The“Hand Prints of Hope” were passed out during the Pennzoil 400 Cup at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend, according to KTNV.
“One’s ending is another’s beginning. Be an organ donor,” read one handout on the vehicle. The tribute written by Jodi Boling honoring her daughter Kaylinn.
Gase’s mother passed away in 2011 from a brain aneurysm. Although she passed away she was able to save 66 lives with her organs donated, according to KTNV.
“I am so thankful to Nevada Donor Network for teaming up with us this past weekend so we can not only race, but, more importantly, raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and honor all of these incredible heroes,” said Gase.
