Hats Off: Indiana Town Gives Pizza Deliveryman A New Car For His 31 Years Of Smiles
Jeff & Aimee are giving a Hats Off to a Pizza Hut delivery man!
Robert Peters is a Pizza Hut deliveryman in Tipton, Indiana, that’s been serving smiles with every delivery.
“There were people in my family that were like, ‘Maybe you should consider something a little more financially stable,’” Peters said in a CBS interview. “But it’s my purpose in life—trying to make people happy. You know, when you’re delivering to somebody, you may be the only face they see all day.”
Like any car, racking up miles on your car does shorten its reliability. So, when Tipton resident Tanner Langley found out that Peters’ car was on its last life he rallied the community to help Peters.
Through the power of social media, Langley raised $19,000 to buy Peters a new car. With the money raised Peters became an owner of a new Chevy Malibu, which even covered fees, taxes, insurance and gas.
