Hats Off: TikTok Users Band Together To Create An Easy Use Pill Bottle For People With Parkinson’s
Jeff & Aimee are giving a Hats Off to some TikTok users who banded together for a great cause.
Jimmy Choi uses his TikTok account to show the world how he combats living with Parkinson’s through fitness.
Although Choi is an all-around athlete he still has to deal with everyday struggles like taking pills or putting on a shirt.
“I wanted to show people that, you know, living with Parkinson’s isn’t all about breaking world records and doing push-ups and things like that,” said Choi in an interview.
After showcasing his struggle with taking a pill from a pill bottle, TikTok users got together to create a 3D-printed bottle made to ease this battle.
“It really is truly amazing to see how the community then jumped in. And folks that have no connection to Parkinson’s decided, ‘Hey, you know what? I have an idea. And here’s the idea.’ And then other folks jump in and say, ‘Hey, I love your idea. I can help you with that,'” said Choi.
