Hats Off: Ikea Buys 11,000 Acres In Georgia So That It Doesn’t Get Cut Down

Ikea bought nearly 11,000 acres in Georgia so that it doesn’t get developed, according to Reuters.
“The acquisition strengthens Ingka Group’s commitment to responsible forest management, as conservation measures are fully included in the forest management plans,” it said in a statement.
The Ingka Group is the owner of most Ikea Stores. It currently owns around 613,000 acres of forest in Europe and the US to continue its mission to preserve our nature’s forests.
