Hats Off: Kid’s Backpack Goes Viral After People Think He’s A NFL Player
Jeff & Aimee are giving a hats off to one NFL player giving back to the next generation of kids!
Alexander August absolutely loves football, so when his parents asked what kind of backpack he wanted it was no surprise that it had to deal with football.
The six-year-old from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, specifically requested a Jalen Hurts backpack. However, his mom had a tough time looking for one.
With the help of her own mother Nikki Godfrey, Alexander’s mom, created a custom backpack with Jalen Hurts’ name stitched on it.
While out at the Louisiana Children’s Museum, Nikki was confused as to why everyone kept calling her son Jalen. After looking at his backpack everything stuck together. Snapping a picture and Tweeting it out eventually got the attention of the actual Philadelphia NFL quarterback Jalen Hurts.
“That’s Lit, Alexander!! I had to get me a backpack with YOUR name on it too haha,” replied Jalen Hurts on Twitter.
The viral Tweet left Alexander in awe!
“Now to have the same platform in a sense and to be able to touch so many people, I try to take advantage of every opportunity I can. It’s a blessing. That means the world to me,” said Hurts in an interview. “That’s what it’s all about – giving back, showing love, and helping others. That’s what it comes down to. That’s the rent we pay to live on this earth.”
