Hats Off: Family Finds Money Inside Their Baby Formula
Jeff & Aimee in the Morning is giving a Hats Off to someone’s random act of kindness!
Shelbey Banks, from Newburgh, Indiana, and her husband have been hit hard financially because of the pandemic. Both of them have been living paycheck-to-paycheck, according to NBC 14.
Struggling to make ends meet their last paycheck went to rent.
One day while buying baby formula for her seventh-month-old she found a random act of kindness.
“We were opening up the bottle and at the very top, there was just this little neatly folded $5 bill,” said Banks in an interview. “And I looked at him like did you maybe put this in here, maybe didn’t have pockets or something? And he was like no I thought you sat it there and I don’t carry change so.”
That act of kindness didn’t go unnoticed!
“I just thought it was really endearing so that’s the first it’s ever happened to me,” said Banks in an interview.
While posting about it on Facebook, Banks received tons of support offering people to donate money or baby formula. However, Banks kindly turned them down saying “I’m good – I’m able to get by until Friday when I get paid, but I appreciate that.”
