NHL 2020-21 Season Starts This Week
Vegas hockey fans rejoice! The National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players Association have reached an agreement on returning to play for the 2020-21 season.
The 56 game season begins on January 13th and ends on May 8th, according to its statement.
This season will not have a preseason and will feature realigned divisions, including a new division.
Playoffs feature a 16-team playoff bracket in a best-of-seven series and will end mid-July.
The new division will only have Canadian teams.
The Western Conference will have the Vegas Golden Knights, Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues.
The Eastern Conference will have the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals.
The Central Conference will have the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning.
