Local Teens Raise Mental Health Awareness By Leaving Hopeful Messages Across Las Vegas
A group of teens is spreading its message of hope across Las Vegas parks by leaving river rocks, according to KTNV.
The Hope Means Nevada Teen Committee has painted over 100 river rocks containing messages of love, friendship and acceptance. The project was created by sisters 16-year-old Caroline and 15-year-old Lauren Edgeworth.
In honor of International Friendship Day today, the teens will drop off the rocks during their Hope Rocks event, starting at Lorenzi Park from 10:15 am – 10:30 am.
Another small group of people wearing gloves and masks will visit other parks to leave the rocks.
For anyone coming across these hopeful river rocks the teens are asking to take a selfie and use the hashtag #HopeRocks and #ASK5, then tag @HopeMeansNevada on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
