Title: Best friends into lovers, wasn’t always easy
Dear Jeff and Aimee
My name is Scott Simmons I am 30 years old and live in Henderson. I am not the most skilled writer and am a little nervous writing in because I have never done anything like this before.
The woman I am in love with has completely stolen my heart and I know with every part of me that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I felt I must take my own leap in writing to you guys a short version of our story.
My wonderful girlfriend and loving mother of one is Lauren Tinoco. She is 29 and also originally from California. We have been very close friends for over four years and our relationship was only that until almost nine months ago.
I can honestly say I felt a very strong connection with Lauren early into our friendship. I was afraid to tell her how I truly felt about her in fear of ruining what we already had together. I never wanted to lose my best friend.
Then the “One October Shooting” happened. Lauren was at the Route 91 show with some friends. I instantly sank into a panic. I called and called no answer. So many thoughts went through my mind.
What if something happened to her, what if I never told her how I felt. At that moment I knew I was in love with her. Finally 2 hours later I got through to her through a friend. She had lost phone.
The shooting at Route 91 wasn’t the only thing that changed Lauren’s life that night. That was also the night she met Marco, the father to her beautiful and perfect daughter Everlyn.
I lost my chance to finally tell her I loved her. Her and Marco began dating. Shortly after that Lauren had told me she was pregnant, she and Marco were moving in together. It crushed me, how was I supposed to see her with someone else. I felt I had to put distance between us.
Just before Everlyn was born Lauren told me her and Marco were having problems and she wasn’t sure it was going to work out. A few weeks after Everlyn was born Lauren moved out of Marco’s.
A couple months later it was finally my chance, we talked and I confessed everything to her! She also had feelings for me but was afraid of the same thing, losing each other. I asked Lauren to be my girlfriend and she said yes!
Our love story has been very hard and frustrating at times but I can honestly say I wouldn’t ever want to change a thing.
I love Lauren and Everlyn so much I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I truly cannot wait to start our family.
I ask of you two to help us take this leap of marriage together!
Help country music change her life again but this time be the happiest of memories.
They will be doing THIS!
