Las Vegans are flocking to the area due to the growing atmosphere and downtown lifestyle.

What Happens In the Arts District Las Vegas

Many locals are familiar with First Friday which has been taking place for decades and home for many local eats, craft vendors and performers. First Friday for the newbies is a super-fun night event that takes place the first Friday of every month.

The area also hosts the world renown Life is Beautiful Fest which takes places in late September every year turning the streets of downtown into a musical-art haven. Big A-listers have headlined the fest including Billie Eilish, Post Malone, The Killers and Kendrick Lamar. The best part yet is that festival goers get to taste local 702 eateries from around the city.

Brightly covered spray painted walls enclose the streets and building sides showing creativeness still breathes in Vegas. Giant murals of desert animals and uplifting quotes are just a turn away.

People are hanging outside, talking, drinking, eating creating a space all of it’s own. The Arts District Las Vegas is a place people should give a chance.

  • Main St. Provisions

    Location: 1214 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89104

    The eatery can be found in the center of S Main St, across from Majestic Repertory Theatre. The inside is a modern-cabin vibe with high beam ceilings and brightly painted brick. Their menu is very meat-driven with steak, fish and chicken as the primary. They also have a delicious plant based dish for their veggie eaters. According to their Instagram, their restaurant has “A Reimagined Twist on American Comfort Food.”

    Recommendation: Found under Entrees – Short Rib which features parsnip puree, garlic green beans, parsley chimichurri and crispy shallots.

    Monday – Friday: 4:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

    Saturday: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

    Sunday: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

  • Ester's Kitchen

    Location: 1131 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89104

    If you’re craving Italian and Soul food, this restaurant is the best of both worlds. The inside is modern sheik with black accent pieces. Mafalda, radiatore and agnolotti are just a few of their signature homemade pastas. Their house-made sourdough bread is a must-order. The Cambozola has blue cheese, walnut and pickled grapes. Their clams, mussels and their braised escarole are terrific.

    Recommendation: Egg Tagliatelle which features clams, smoked butter, oregano, prosciutto and breadcrumbs.

  • Good Pie

    Location: 1212 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89104

    Good Pie is your traditional New York pizza shop serving pies fresh daily. They started in 2018 and serve up “NY style street slices, Brooklyn-style round pies, Detroit-style squares, Gluten-free and Vegan pizzas” states their website. Their menu is reasonably priced and could easily work for couples or families of four. What’s unique is their Grandma Style pies which are square and all made with “grandma crust.” They also have salads, meat balls, fired ravioli and other tasty apps.

    Hours of Operation: Grandma White Pie which features grandma crust, fresh garlic, mozza, pecorino, ricotta flowers, garlic oil, parsley and shaved parm. This pizza holds 8 slices.

    Sunday – Thursday: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

    Friday – Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

  • Tacotarian

    Location: 1130 S Casino Center Blvd, Unit 170, Las Vegas, NV 89104

    Tacotarian is one of the best vegan taco restaurants in the valley. Meat eaters would have a somewhat difficult time telling the difference because of how well the meat is flavored and presented. The restaurant is very bright and bohemian themed on the inside. They are known for their tiny tacos including their birra, al pastor and carna asada. Yes, all vegan! They also have quesdillas, burritos and enchiladas.

    Recommendation: The Cali Burrito is a great choice. It features your choice of plant based protein, french fires, refried beans, house nacho cheese, lettuce, guac, pico, crema and salsa morita.

  • Cornish Pasty Co

    Location: 10 E Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104

    Cornish Pastry Co is an England based restaurant who is serving the Vegas scene with unique plates. The eatery has a diverse menu with signature, premium and vegan/vegetarian pastries. The pastries look like delicate hand made dough pockets stuffed with goodies to help paint a visual. Their desserts look incredible. The Banoffee Pie which features bananas we heard was a fan-favorite.

    Recommendation: Pork and Apple which features pork, apple, potato, onion and sage with a side of red wine gravy.

    Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

    Friday – Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.

  • The Pepper Club By Todd English

    Location: 921 S Main St Las Vegas, NV 89101

    The Pepper Club By Todd English is your upscale downtown restaurant with Asian flare. The restaurant serves brunch, happy hour and dinner. Their dinner menu is more on the expensive side but well worth it. Order any of their dishes like oxtail fried rice, eggplant dengaku, or miso salmon and be happy and full when you leave.

    Recommendation: TPC Burger which features two patties, bacon jam, cheddar, sunny egg, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle on a brioche bun with truffle fries.

  • Letty's de Leticia's Cocina

    Location: 807 S Main St. Las Vegas, NV 89101

    Letty’s de Leticia’s Cocina is beautifully painted on the outside with bright colors and shapes. Letty’s de Leticia’s Cocina is a Mexican eatery who serves breakfast all hours of the day, according to their website. Their margaritas are huge and flavored to perfection. They serve empanaditas, burritos, pupsas, pizzabirria and so many more amazing menu items.

    Recommendation: Taquitos Enchilados which features four crispy taquitos filled with either chicken, beef, chicken tinga or potato and cheese. They are topped with queso cotija and crema. Customers can choose between ranchera, tomatillo or mole sauce. We suggest the ranchera sauce.
