The Most Dangerous NFL Stadiums: New Report
You know, we’ve all heard about how tough football can be, right? Those bone-crushing tackles and epic showdowns on the field are exciting. But hold on to your helmets because there’s a new report from Sportsbook Review that’s shining a light on the darker side of NFL game days – the most dangerous NFL stadiums.
We’re talking crime stats and fan stories that might make you think twice about that next game.
Denver’s Mile High Mayhem:
Can you believe that the Denver Broncos’ Empower Field at Mile High is the reigning champ in the “most dangerous” category? Seriously, it’s got a whopping 70 crimes per 1,000 residents in the same zip code as the stadium, the survey states. And hey, we’re not even counting the painful loss they took from the Dolphins recently, because that murder took place at Miami’s stadium.
The Lineup of Risk:
But wait, there’s more. The Seattle Seahawks’ stadium is right behind Denver in the danger rankings, followed by the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Kansas City Chiefs. And if you’re concerned about violent crime, the Lions’ stadium takes the crown, with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Chiefs, and New Orleans Saints not too far behind.
Fans Witnessing Crimes:
Now, here’s a shocker – one stadium leads the pack when it comes to crimes that fans witness. It’s Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Division rivals, The Dallas Cowboys’, stadium comes in second place. Then the homes of the New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets (they share a stadium), and the Browns make the list.
Fans Falling Victim:
When it comes to fans actually becoming victims of crimes, it’s the Cowboys’ stadium that takes the top spot. The shared stadium of the Giants and Jets is next, followed by the homes of the Washington Commanders and the Seahawks. Yep, it’s got us thinking about game-day security a bit more seriously!
Fan Surveys Tell a Tale:
In a survey of over 3,000 NFL fans, nearly 40% said they’d witnessed a crime in or around an NFL stadium. And get this, 7% of those fans said they’d been victims themselves during a game. These numbers about the most dangerous NFL stadiums are making it pretty clear that safety should be on the checklist when we’re catching our favorite teams in action.
