Just in- The famous Mexican food chain, Taco Bell, is off on another venture to bring their fans what they want. This time, it’s “Mexican Pizza: The Musical.” Yes, you heard that right.
Live Mas Productions presents, “a harrowing, heartwarming, and totally not-fictional tale of how fans banded together—through the power of song—to bring back an icon.”
The fan-favorite Mexican Pizza was discontinued back in 2019 leaving fans heart broken. The “Say So” singer, Doja Cat, a longtime Taco Bell connoisseur, showcased her love for the beloved menu item by creating a Taco Bell song. You can watch her video HERE.
Many petitions, Twitter tweets and Reddit threads were created to bring back the crispy goodness menu item. May of 2022, was a bright and cheerful day for many dedicated Taco Bell fans as the Mexican Pizza was brought back by popular demand. The musical description seems to highlight the real life scenario we all went through during the pandemic without our Mexican Pizza by our side.
Since being revived many of our local Taco Bell locations have been “sold out.” Will this new musical be a sign that restock is coming soon? We will have to wait impatiently to see.
The Taco Bell app states that, “Watch with a free Mexican Pizza when you spend $20+. Exclusively on Uber Eats and Postmates from 9/15-9/21.” The musical will be broadcasted LIVE on TikTok LIVE at 5pm PT / 8pm ET.
