Las Vegas is known as the “party” city so why not make last minute plans and celebrate New Years Eve here? It’s slightly less crowded than New York City and definitely not as cold. Vegas is the west coast hot spot to celebrate saying goodbye to 2022 and welcoming 2023. And before you jump into the whole “New Year, New Me” save your breathe for someone who cares.
People are wondering Las Vegas BLVD and by people we mean out of towners. Many locals are in bed on New Years Eve by 10 p.m. The strip is the last place they are trying to get to. Whether your walking Freemont Street or the main strip there will be lots of people so watch your surroundings.
The streets to the strip starting getting blocked off around 5 p.m. so getting down there will be a nightmare. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft will also have trouble and you will have to do some walking so wear comfortable shoes.
There will be roughly an 11 minute New Years Eve Las Vegas firework show that takes place right at 11:59:59, so you’re not going to want to miss it. The hotels who will be launching off fireworks are:
Note: There is a chance of bad weather and the fireworks may be cancelled. We will have to wait and see.
- MGM Grand
- Caesars Palace
- Treasure Island
- The STRAT
- Aria
- Resorts World Las Vegas
- Planet Hollywood
- The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
If you’re not a firework person, that’s okay. There are a tone of other things you could do if you haven’t made plans yet. Concerts, comedy shows and ice skating are just a few things that still available for the ones who haven’t made up their minds yet on what they want to do. Tickets are still available at this time for each of these but we don’t know for how long so make up your mind and go have fun!
