The Raiders Trolled Patrick Mahomes And He Has Responded
The Las Vegas Raiders trolled Patrick Mahomes in a video that went viral recently on social media. In the video, rookie safety Trey Taylor can be seen playing with a Kermit the Frog puppet that’s dressed to look like the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback. The doll, dressed in a Patrick Mahomes jersey, and wearing a wig that looked like Mahomes’s hair, was reportedly brought to the Raiders training camp by a fan in California. Taylor can be seen in the video, putting the puppet over his hand and then laughing with his teammates while playing with it. Check out the video below.
The head coach of the Raiders, Antonio Pierce, has already addressed the video and says the issue has been resolved, according to a report by the NFL.
Mahomes Has Responded To The Viral Video Of Him Getting Trolled
Kermit the Frog has been used over the years as a playful nod to the similarity between Mahomes’ voice and that of the long-loved character from the Muppets. However, despite the video going viral, it sounds like Mahomes isn’t terribly rattled by the Raiders. Mahomes was asked about his thoughts on the video at a recent press conference and his response was calm, stating, “Stuff like that happens. It’ll get handled when it gets handled.”
Both teams have had a longstanding rivalry within the NFL, however Mahomes and the Chiefs have been dominant in recent years. The trash talk seemed like a risky and bold move, if I’m being quite honest, considering that his career track record against the Raiders has been an incredible 10-2. Also, as a fellow Las Vegan, do we need to be giving Patrick Mahomes more fuel for his competitive flame? He’s one of the most competitive people on the planet, and I expect he’ll be trying to make a statement the next time his team plays the Raiders.
