Today, Ball Park brand hot dogs is “celebrating freedom of expression” by challenging hot dog lovers to post their unique hot dog topping mashups for a chance to win $2,500, plus, “the ultimate backyard cookout.”
To enter, post your hot dog-topping combos on TikTok using #HotDogHotTakes and tagging @BallParkBrand. Videos have to be 60 seconds or less, and the contest runs through August 17th.
Whether you prefer mustard, or ketchup, or some of the other weird toppings, today is the day to celebrate.

- 7-11: Rewards members can get a $2 Big Bite hot dog through the mobile app. One per customer
- Nathan’s Famous: 11am to 1pm, Nathan’s fans can get hot dogs for just five cents each. That is how much they were when Nathan’s opened in 1916). The offer is limited to two hot dogs per order.
- Weinerschnitzel: Four Chili Dogs for just $4. The deal is limited to orders in multiples of four.
- Hot Dog on a Stick: If you want a different take on the classic, Hot Dog on a Stick is offering their special menu item called The Charlie. It’s a hot dog stuffed inside their Cheese on a Stick. By the way, If you have your dog with you, you get a free bag of Milk-Bone mini treats, and a bandanna, with a minimum purchase of $20. The offer is available until Aug. 11.
- Shake Shack: In-store diners at Shake Shack can get a free hot dog with a minimum purchase of $1 at participating restaurants, with their app or website, for pickup or delivery. Use the code FREEHOTDOG to get your freebie.
