A man from Tennessee has been sentenced after an incident at a Trace Adkins show in 2015.

According to WBIR, Billy J. Carson, drove his truck into people leaving Adkins' show after it ended -- Killing Tony Farrell and causing injuries to his son.

At the time of the incident, Farrell's wife and another son were also nearby and witnessed the ordeal.

For unknown reasons, Carson was irate and jumped into his vehicle while intoxicated and headed towards a crowd of people.

A judge has sentenced Carson to six years in prison. The reduced sentence came down as part of a plea deal.
