New Zealand Pizzeria Introduces “Buy Now, Pay…When You Die”
In a creative and lighthearted move, a pizza chain in New Zealand called Hell Pizza has unveiled a distinctive payment option that has caught people’s attention. Titled “AfterLife Pay,” this unconventional promotion offers customers the opportunity to enjoy a pizza now with the promise to settle the bill in their will.
While many are familiar with “Buy Now, Pay Later” services, which provide limited extended payment options, Hell Pizza takes it to a whole new level with their “Buy now, pay…MUCH later…WHEN YOU DIE” concept. This playful twist on the popular payment trend offers a unique take on managing expenses.
To participate in the AfterLife Pay promotion, interested individuals must be local residents. Hell Pizza is accepting a limited number of 666 applicants from New Zealand and 666 from Australia. By signing up, participants commit to including their pizza debt in their wills.
Although the promotion is a light-hearted stunt, Hell Pizza is indeed accepting applications and plans to reward 666 “winners” from each country with a delayed-payment pizza. Each lucky recipient will be entitled to one pizza, valued at $25, through the AfterLife Pay program.
According to Hell Pizza, the agreement signed to pay after death is legally binding, ensuring that the debt will be honored. Notably, no interest or fees will be applied. Furthermore, the terms and conditions state that Hell Pizza reserves the right to either enforce the debt against the applicant’s estate upon their passing or forgive any outstanding balance.
