Oh brunch, sweet brunch! That beautiful hybrid meal for those of us who don’t know what the hell we want out of life. Actually, I know what I want. Breakfast. Everyday. All the time. But my “normal” friends usually want lunch at lunch time. So maybe brunch was invented to bring people together. My people (the breakfast people) and those people (the weirdos who don’t obsess over breakfast foods). It also might have been invented for an excuse to drink champagne in the morning.

In any case, brunch is an awesome way to do a meal. Especially on New Year’s Day. When there’s plenty of champagne from the New Year’s Eve festivities. And having someone else do the cooking is a great way to relax after a night of partying. But do we have any brunch places in Las Vegas?

Actually, I think maybe this is like our hidden secret. We have a TON of brunch places in Vegas. Because we’ve pretty much perfected the art of casual chic. And that’s exactly what brunch is. But how to choose among all the places you could go for this delectable meal? We’ve put together a list of our favorite brunch places in Las Vegas.

But before we get to that, you might need something to discuss while you’re waiting for your food. How about the origin of the famous New Year’s Eve song, Auld Lang Syne? It’s as good a topic as any. And might make you look smart with your mimosa in your hand.

According to brittanica.com, Auld Lang Syne is a Scottish song whose lyrics are attributed to Robert Burns, the national poet of Scotland. The Scottish lyrics “auld lang syne” translates loosely to English as “as since long ago” or “for old times’ sake”. It’s about old friends having a drink and recalling their past adventures.

So, chat it up with your brunch buddies about the adventures you had in 2022, and enjoy. Happy New Year! Wendy Rush
