Taco Bell fans, we did it! The Mexican fast food chain has heard our pleas to bring back their beloved Mexican Pizza menu item. It has been about two years since the scrumptious pizza was pulled from their menus and we’re happy for it’s return!
Grammy award winner, Doja Cat, created a Taco Bell song expressing her love and longing for the fan favorite menu item and you can bop out to it below. One of Taco Bell‘s biggest fans, Krish Jagirrdan, created a petition via Change.org which received over 200,000 signatures to bring the Mexican Pizza back. After many countless tweets, Instagram throwback posts and conversations, Taco Bell has granted our wishes.
Starting today, May 19, Taco Bell has confirmed that the Mexican Pizza is being rolled out to Taco Bell locations across the United States, Aruba, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic. Taco Bell Reward Members and loyalty members got early access to the supreme menu item which started on May 17. Taco Bell teamed up with DoorDash to deliver the Mexican Pizza to customers in the comfort of their own homes for the first week (May 19 – May 26). Starting May 27 other delivery services will have access to the Mexican Pizza. It pays to be a reward member.
DoorDash members get an extra perk of two dollars off a Mexican Pizza when they spend a minimum of 12 dollars using promo code MEXPIZZA at check out. Please read DoorDash‘s rules and regulations regarding promotions.
Vegetarians, they haven’t forgotten you. Taco Bell made it appoint to let them know that the Mexican Pizza is still customizable. Most vegetarians order the iconic menu item with a customized order of subbing seasoned beef for beans. Our assistant digital director, Gianni Giancola, can confirm that the substitute of meat to beans is very tasty. Taco Bell‘s website states the Mexican Pizza is currently $4.49. We believe this may be at specific locations, check your local area for adjusted pricing. The fast-food chain has a special running where fans can order a Mexican Pizza, two crunchy tacos and a large fountain drink for $8.99.
