The Best Fall Makeup Trends
Don’t blink, because summer will be over. Thankfully, there’s lot to love about fall, including pumpkin spice, chilly nights by the fire, full moons, Halloween and fall makeup trends. This year’s fall makeup trends, according to beauty experts, are a bit sassy, as is only appropriate. So, let’s dig into these fall makeup looks that you can accomplish with drugstore makeup lines, so it doesn’t cost you too much.
Fall Makeup Trends for 2024
Grungy Eyes
Thank God grungy eyes are still a thing. The beauty experts at Theeverygirl.com have designated grungy eyes a very hot look for fall. “This trend is all about smudged, smoky shadows in deep, moody tones like charcoal, plum, and forest green,” they state. “The key to perfecting grungy eyes lies in layering and blending, allowing for a diffused, lived-in effect that exudes effortless cool.”
Note, however, that this look isn’t the best for people with deep set eyes, since those with deep set eyes already have a natural kind of shadow on their upper eye lid. With that being said, there should be no rules when it comes to makeup, other than having fun, so even if you have deep set eyes, don’t be afraid to try this fall makeup trend.
Crimson Lips
Crimson is a “rich deep red color inclining to purple,” according to Oxford Languages. So, if you love red lips, then this fall is for you. “The classic rouge lip gets a new life this fall in a range of skin-flattering shades, from bright cherry to rich merlot. Wear red your way: in a sheer tinted lip balm, a slick gloss or a bold lipstick paired with muted eyes and cheeks,” the beauty experts at Goodhousekeeping.com state. Of course, you can pick up red lipstick at the drugstore, so no need to go broke with this look.
Flushed Cheeks
The beauty experts at Whowhatwear.com say flushed cheeks are all the rage for the fall season, noting that blush is a trend that will continue from the summer into the fall. Celebrity makeup artist Emily Clarkson tell the publication that, “It’s a really super easy one to recreate at home as I always think your fingers are your best tools to achieve that flushed, slightly sunburnt look. I tend to opt for red tones or deep berry tones as they are found naturally in your face, and with this trend we’re just enhancing that natural coloring.”
