Where Can You Find The Las Vegas Natural History Museum?
The museum is located just north of the heart of downtown Las Vegas, at 900 Las Vegas Boulevard. It’s not far from Cashman Field, so if you’re familiar with the stadium, you’re familiar with the location.
I remember going to the museum on field trips when I was an elementary student in the 90s. Since opening in 1991, the museum has been a staple for providing hands-on environments to learn. Their exhibits range from everything from the prehistoric era to the present day.
Exhibits That My Family Loves
If any of your little ones loves Dinosaurs, they’ll love the museum’s life-sized replicas! Kids can practice being a paleontologist by digging for fossils, and the museum also features a 35-foot long T-Rex that moves and roars.
There is also a marine life gallery with life-sized recreations of sharks and other aquatic creatures hanging from the walls and ceilings. And according to the museum’s website, they have a 3K gallon tank with live sharks and stingrays.
If ancient Egypt fascinates you, you’ll want to check out the “Treasures of Egypt” exhibit. There, you’ll find replica tombs and artifacts and you’ll be able to learn about how people lived during that era.
And finally, for anyone who wants to learn about STEM, the museum also features an interactive area designed for younger attendees to perform hands on experiments
