A Former Nevada Congressional Candidate Has Been Indicted For Murder
Daniel Rodimer, a former Nevada congressional candidate has been indicted for murder. Have you been following this story? Because it’s pretty wild! Something I didn’t realize about “Big Dan” Rodimer, a former congressional candidate, is that he used to also be a professional wrestler!
A Former Congressional Candidate And A Former Pro Wrestler
I was speaking to a buddy of mine, who’s a huge wrestling fan, and he was the one who informed me that Rodimer used to wrestle for the WWE under the name Daniel Rodman. In fact, the wrestling organization still has one of Rodimer’s matches streaming for free on their website. The knowledge of his previous career makes his viral congressional promos he had running on tv make so much sense! Check out his old promo below to see if you agree.
Rodimer has now been formally indicted on a murder charge. It’s in connection with the passing of a man named Christopher Tapp. Tapp, from Idaho Falls, was 47 years old at the time of his death in October of last year. He died from a head injury during a Las Vegas Halloween party and it was initially ruled an accidental death, according to reporting by Boise news station KTVB.
The Legal Proceedings Begin Soon
Rodimer, who’s 45 now, no longer resides in Nevada. He currently lives in Texas, but he’s expected to appear before a Nevada judge next Wednesday, on May 8th. According to KTVB’s reporting, Rodimer’s attorneys claim that Rodimer looks forward to his day in court and maintains his complete innocence.
The Incident That Killed Christopher Tapp
Tapp sustained a head injury at a Halloween party that occurred on October 29th, 2023, at the Resorts World. However, he died several days later. The injuries were believed to be from a fall, but after further investigation, authorities discovered that an argument had occurred between Tapp and Rodimer beforehand.
Rodimer’s Career In Politics
Rodimer ran both of his congressional campaigns as a Republican candidate. He was unsuccessful in his run for Nevada congress in 2020 and in Texas, his new home state, in 2021.
Rodimer is currently free on a $200K bail.
