Lainey Wilson’s trip to Australia to play for fans has ended, and Lainey posted a video with a message for her fans there on her social media.
Lainey Wilson’s Trip To Australia
She said in the clip, “Never in a million years did I think as a little girl that I’d be playing country music literally on the opposite side of the world or that there would be people on this side of the world that would have anything in common with me.”
Being Present
Wilson continued, “The goal is to be as present as I possibly can because I want to remember this. These moments are important ones, and they slip away really, really quickly. I want to remember my first.”
The clip shows many moments of her trip down under, including being on a boat with her crew riding horses, holding Koala bears, and more.
Thank You
She ends the clip in black and white, saying, “To the Australian fans, I just want to say thank you. I remember a time not too long ago when nobody showed up, so I don’t take it for granted when people actually do, especially on the other side of the world.”

Lainey captioned the video post on Instagram, “I’m living the dreams I didn’t even realize I could dream about as a little girl. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, Australia! Europe & UK, you’re up next.”
Wilson took time while in Australia to be a tourist and enjoy some of the country’s many sites. Lainey visited the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and got an unexpected surprise.
The Incident
She posted a video clip of the moment on her Instagram. In the video, Lainey is wearing her signature bell bottoms, a ball cap, glasses, and a Barbara Mandrell t-shirt. She says in the clip, as she and her group get ready to go into the sanctuary to visit the animals, “I just got s— on. Okay. I don’t know what to do. I just got s— all over. Dang.” One of her crew tells her that it’s considered good luck in some cultures, and she replies, “Yeah, I get blessed, baby.” Her friend then points out that she has a worm crawling up her sleeve, and she says, “You are lying.”
Holding a Koala
Wilson then gets ready to hold a Koala. She says, “I got s— on by a bird this morning, about to hold a Koala; life is good.” The guide tells Lainey to hold steady and she nervously holds the Koala. In the same video, Wilson gets to pet and feed a large Kangaroo, which she comments is just “huge.”
She captioned the post, “I’m just out here makin’ friends with the locals.”
