Kelsea Ballerini Won’t Be Acting On Boyfriend’s Show
Kelsea Ballerini wants to spread her wings a bit in her career, including acting, in the near future. However, Kelsea tells Flaunt Magazine that she will not appear on her boyfriend Chase Stokes’s Netflix show Outer Banks for one reason.
“Feels Safe”
Kelsea said, “When it comes to my relationship, there’s a beautiful level of him showing up on tour, or at my respective award shows, and me getting to go to set and showing up to his events, where we just get to [be] each other’s support system in person. That, to me, feels really safe.”
Ballerini added that she finally has the confidence to “ask myself, ‘What else?'” In addition to pursuing acting, she noted that she wants to pursue other creative avenues, which she believes will help her evolve as a person.
Personal Life And Privacy
As her star continues to rise and the interest in her personal life grows, she admitted that she is working on protecting her privacy. She says she doesn’t have it “figured out yet.” One thing she prides herself in is being herself and being authentic. She feels most at home hanging out with her dog, Dibs, in Nashville. She says being normal helps her to feel a bit safer in the “shift of eyeballs” and the “shift of people” wanting to know what’s going on with her.
She concludes that she feels the need to be a little bit more “self-preserved” than she ever has.
