Lainey Wilson’s New Song Is Country To The Core
Lainey Wilson posted a video clip of her recording a new song in the recording studio on her Instagram. And yeah, it sounds like a real hit!
Lainey is wearing a denim shirt and a Judd’s ball cap in the video. The chorus of the song sings, “Everybody wanna be a cowboy / Drive a John boat whip a John Deere / Everybody wanna a backwoods front porch with a tub full of ice cold beer / Must be something in water flowing out of the holler blue collar must have caught a new wind / Doggone Daggum didn’t see that coming country’s cool again.”
Wilson captioned the post, “Country isn’t just a genre for me or for any of us that live and breathe it every single day. It’s a way of life. It’s always been cool, and I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re just glad it’s gettin’ a lil more recognition and love these days.”
She added, “Welcome to the party, cowgirls and cowboys. Country’s Cool Again will be out on February 16. Can’t wait to share it with y’all!”
Lainey will be a performer on the upcoming People’s Choice Awards, which airs Live on Sunday, February 18, at 8 P.M. ET/PT on NBC.

Wilson will appear in a Super Bowl commercial for Coors Light, which will sponsor part of her 2024 “Country’s Cool Again” tour. The tour launches May 31 at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater.
Lainey told Billboard about the new commercial that millions will see on Super Bowl Sunday (2/11). The new Coors Light ad will feature the return of the Coors Light Chill Train.
Wilson said, “I think my family’s going to freak out when they see me on a commercial during the Super Bowl. It was such a dream to be in my first big game day and just help reintroduce the Coors Light iconic Chill Train to bring a little bit of that chill that everybody needs.”
The ad will feature Lainey in a scene in the middle of a photo shoot when the Coors Light Chill Train whizzes by, leaving Wilson in the frost.
Wilson said that in the commercial, she is doing a photo shoot with “my old trusty guitar” as well as a horse that Coors Light hooked her up with.
