Chris Young Reveals Injuries He Sustained During Arrest
Chris Young posted a photo showing injuries he sustained when he was arrested last Monday on his Instagram last night (1/30). In the image of his back, you can see two large bruises. Over the photo, he wrote, “Waaaaaay too close to my spine.” In the post, the Police song “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” is playing. He captioned the post, “Just saying…”
Many fans commented on the post, including one who wrote, “They were in the wrong, not Chris Young!! Some of us are glad someone saw the truth and know how to avoid rude comments and know the whole story.” Another fan said, “Wow! I’m sorry this happened to you! This should never have happened. I knew the moment the news reported it that it didn’t make sense as this didn’t match your character.” One not-so-supportive fan commented,” Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I was your biggest fan, but my son is an officer, and I support doing the right thing.”

Young broke his silence yesterday (1/30) when he posted a video clip on TikTok of the incident last Monday night (1/22).
He wrote over the clip he posted to TikTok, “For all the trolls who say, ‘Don’t touch a cop,” I didn’t touch him.” Young captioned the post, “Stop coming at me.”
Many fans reacted to the post with support. One said, “My first emotion was complete disbelief when I heard. I’m a ride-or-die fan, @Chris Young! I am so sorry that you had to go through this. Keep your head high, friend!”
As we reported on Friday (1/26), days after Chris Young was arrested at the Dawg House Bar in Nashville, the Nashville District Attorney announced that charges against the singer are being dropped.
According to The Tennessean, District Attorney General Glenn Funk said, “After a review of all the evidence in this case, the Office of the District Attorney has determined that these charges will be dismissed.”
On Monday night (1/22), Young was sitting at the bar at the Tin Roof when the Alcoholic Beverage Commission was completing a compliance check.
The Tennessean reported that the affidavit said that when agents walked into the bar, Young had his ID in his hand above his head. After the agents scanned his ID and determined it to be accurate, they walked away.
“Mr. Young started asking questions that were answered at that time and then began video recording us. We left the bar after finishing our check and went to Dawg House next door to continue compliance checks,” the affidavit said. The affidavit noted that Young and several of his friends followed.
“While walking out the door, Mr. Young put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and struck me on the shoulder. I then pushed Mr. Young to create distance since I had no idea of who Mr. Young was or what he had.” The affidavit added that Young had “slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes.”
However, a video of the incident called the account in the affidavit into question.

The Nashville officer that stopped him wrote in the report, “There was an obvious odor consistent with alcoholic beverage coming from the defendant as well as red bloodshot and watery eyes.” Hunt admitted to the officer that he had been drinking. In 2021, he pled guilty and spent 48 hours in the “alternate sentencing facility” DUI Education Centers.

Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney hit a tree while driving under the influence. He later pled guilty, spent two days in Nashville lockup, and lost his driver’s license. Joe Don has since divorced his wife and has also made a statement that he has been sober for several months now.

Wynonna was pulled over by Nashville police while speeding in her Land Rover. According to the arrest report, Judd smelled of liquor, had dilated pupils, and couldn’t remember how many drinks she’d had. When she consented to a Breathalyzer test, her blood alcohol level was .175, more than double the .08 minimum for a drunk driving charge. Wynonna is believed to be the only country star arrested that began singing to her fellow arrestees in the open booking area at the Nashville jail.
Randy Travis - August 2012 - DUI

Country Music Hall Of Famer Randy Travis was arrested in Texas in 2012 for driving under the influence and crashing his 1998 Trans Am. When he was pulled over, he was naked. He told the trooper that arrested him in a dashcam video, “I pray to God that he will have a cancerous growth that infects his bones and every part of his body.” He was sentenced to probation. Travis sued to block the dashcam video from being released but lost.

Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney were arrested in Buffalo, New York, after Chesney rode away with a deputy’s horse and McGraw and his manager allegedly attacked Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies who tried to stop him. Known as “the horse incident,” a year later, all three men involved were found not guilty. McGraw and Chesney hugged each other as the verdict was read.

Zach Bryan was arrested in September of 2023.
The police report explained that Bryan’s security guard was initially pulled over in Vinita, Oklahoma, for driving 78 in a 55. That’s when Zach, driving a black Ram TRX pickup truck, pulled over, got out of his vehicle, and began questioning the officer about what was taking so long.
The cop asked the singer to get back in the truck, telling him that he would be taken to jail if he didn’t do so. Bryan responded, “I’ll go to jail, let’s do it.” Just like Zach described in his video, the report also said the officer continued explaining to Bryan how his actions had interfered with the initial traffic stop. Bryan responded that his arrest was “why people do not like police officers.”
Everything got worse after that, with Zach being handcuffed. He asked to get let out of handcuffs, saying to the officers, “If you don’t, it is going to be a mistake, sir. I promise.” Adding, “This is the second time this has happened in 3 days. These f—— cops are out of control.”
He later apologized to fans, saying he was an “idiot.”
