If You Do This, You Might Be A Psychopath
How do you take your coffee? Because according to a 2016 study, you might be a psychopath if you drink it black. Social media recently discovered the study and people have been obsessed with its findings! Some people, like my buddy Billy, are using it to justify their ex’s behavior. Other people, like me, are wondering if they’re learning something about themselves!
Wait… Am I A Psychopath?
What’s interesting is that I drink MY coffee black. Does that mean I’M a psycho?!? Probably not, because if I’m being honest, I just recently started drinking it black for health reasons. Truth be told, I still kind of hate the taste of black coffee… but I also need my daily caffeine to function properly. But the not enjoying the taste is the reason I’m probably safe.
When you break down the study, researchers observed 1,000 Americans. They looked at personality traits like how narcissistic, aggressive, and sadistic they were. And in their findings, they discovered that people who prefer things that taste bitter, are more likely to possess “anti-social” traits. Now, why is that important? Because psychopaths are usually VERY anti-social. Does that remind you of anyone who takes their coffee black? Or did you just think about yourself being anti-social?
They Walk Among Us
Of course, if you’re reading this while chugging down some dirty bean water, you shouldn’t worry too much. Liking this stuff doesn’t immediately mean you’re a psycho. Because when you go deeper into another study, being a severe psychopath is still relatively rare. Only about 1% of the population is considered to be a severe psycho. However, their next stat shocked me. Close to 30% of people have “some” psychopathic traits.
So there is a decent chance that you, or someone you know, is technically a psycho. Please don’t come after me for outing you.
