Usually, after a few too many beers, you want to mask the smell of it. Miller Lite, however, is doing the complete opposite. This month, Miller Lite is selling beer mints that will give you beer breath without alcohol.

"Don’t let Dry January get in the way of enjoying great taste. Chew your brew and freshen up with our new Beer Mints," they shared on Instagram.

Beer Mints for Dry January

Non-alcoholic Beer Mints are being promoted as the perfect sidekick for those taking on Dry January. If you’re unfamiliar with Dry January, it’s a month-long challenge where people refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages.

They launched their first-ever mint on January 12, and now beer lovers can order a 1.13-ounce tin of mints for $5. Each tin comes with 40 mints. They will only be available while supplies last. Miller Lite anticipates that these will sell out quickly, so it will drop a second batch on January 19. Those who hope to get a tin must be 21+ to order them, according to their website.

When you pop a Beer Mint into your mouth, you will get "the freshness of mint," but when you chew the mint, "the subtle, yet great taste of Miller Lite" emerges, according to Miller Lite. The mint "leaves consumers’ breath feeling fresh and their taste buds hoppy."

Joining in on the announcement is Altoids, the mint company. They took to the beer company’s social media post and pointed out the similarities with their mint packaging. "Imitation is the highest form of flattery…we see your tins [winky-face emoji]," they commented.

Mints are supposed to hide beer breath, not make it worse. So, if you munch on some Miller Lite Beer Mints, maybe skip driving or handling heavy stuff. Sure, you'll be sober, but who's going to buy that when you still smell like a brewery, right?
