Nevada: Here Is Our Favorite Competition Show
Competition programs have been part of classic television programming for many years. However, the reality show takeover of the past 20 years has led to a more innovative selection of head-to-head battle for viewers to enjoy. The Loupe recently detailed the favorite competition show in every state, and in Nevada, the choice mixes food, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
“From singing sensations to culinary masterpieces and mesmerizing dance performances, competition shows have become a beloved part of our cultural landscape,” The Loupe says.
Hell’s Kitchen Is The Nevada Competition Show Winner
This should come as no surprise, given the Las Vegas presence in the show. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has been hosting Hell’s Kitchen since 2005. In fact, Ramsay created and hosted a similar British version of the show as well. Just how committed is Ramsay to the success of the show and its winner? “Chefs compete for a coveted job as head chef at a restaurant selected by host Gordon Ramsay,” Parade recently explained. Furthermore, the winner also received a nice check for $250,000.
Ramsay has quite a collection of restaurants under his name. For example, past winners have been placed as executive chefs at restaurants in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New York, Paris, and London. All of which are Ramsay restaurants, of course.
To compile this report, The Loupe analyzed Google Trends and search data from 2004 to the present. The results they found that people love popular series such as America’s Got Talent, Shark Tank, and The Masked Singer. The Voice claimed the honor of being the competition show that audiences love the most. Six states had this as their choice. American Idol is still going strong. Moreover, it’s the second favorite competition show according to this ranking.
Season 22 of Hell’s Kitchen premiered on Fox in late 2023. Once again, “Contestants compete in the signature dish challenge after being divided into two teams,” Fox states. It can be streamed on Fox, or you can tune in live on Thursdays at 8 pm EST.
