Zippy’s Is Making Its Grand Debut In Las Vegas
Hawaii’s delightful delight, Zippy’s, is about to bring some tropical flavor to the Ninth Island! Hold on to your hula skirts because the big news is finally here: Zippy’s is making its grand debut in Las Vegas!
Perhaps, you’re like me and don’t know much about the restaurant. So I went to a pro, my indoor soccer teammate Emily, who’s Hawaiian.
I texted my friend, “I see that Zippy’s is coming to Vegas. Is it worth the hype?”
She excitedly responded, “Sure is!! Chili chicken plate with rice and mac salad.. Korean fried chicken.. all the pastries” and then she added a couple drooling face emojis.
So get those calendars out and mark Tuesday, October 10th, at 10:10 a.m. as the moment when the popular chain restaurant spreads its charm to the Vegas valley. The new store will be located at 7095 Badura Avenue.
A Hiring Event Is Happening Soon
But wait, there’s more! In preparation for this Hawaiian takeover, Zippy’s is on a hiring spree. A hiring event you don’t want to miss is happening on Tuesday, August 15th, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Zippy’s Hiring Center, located at 4590 S. Hualapai Way. If you’re ready to join the ohana, dust off that resume, grab your I-9 identification documents and be prepared to be interviewed.
Zippy’s first announced the Las Vegas restaurant project in 2018, but due to pandemic-related delays, they had to prioritize their core business in Hawaii’s survival.
The chain says they also have plans for potential expansion in the valley. According to KTNV, they filed plans for a second location in the Eastgate Shopping Center near Marks Street and West Warm Springs Road in May. However, there have been no updates on that location yet.
