It's common for kids to have a phase of sleeping with stuffed animals, which can sometimes extend into adulthood, lasting for years. A recent poll aimed to find out if people have ever continued to sleep with them regularly as adults. The results showed that 23% of respondents admitted to doing so, while 72% said no, and 4% were unsure.

Contrary to popular belief, the trend is not heavily skewed toward women. Approximately 22% of men reported regularly sleeping with them as adults, compared to 25% of women. Interestingly, the inclination to sleep with stuffed animals as adults appears to be more prevalent among younger age groups. Around 35% of individuals between the ages of 18 and 44 confessed to this habit, whereas the numbers drop to 14% for Generation X and 6% for Baby Boomers.

Unfortunately, the poll did not inquire about the current practices of adults regarding sleeping with stuffed animals. However, an earlier survey conducted this year found that 42% of individuals occasionally sleep with stuffed animals.

The poll also revealed that 45% of respondents reported sleeping with a stuffed animal as a child, and the majority of people do not perceive it as a problem. Only 8% of participants believed that it could be potentially harmful for kids to sleep with stuffed animals.
