Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani’s Successful Mushroom Hunt
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been spending time on their property in Oklahoma, and the couple was hunting for Morel mushrooms together when they stumbled on a ton of what they were looking for. Gwen shared a video clip of the moment on her Instagram.
In the video, Gwen says, “What? I don’t want you to show me; I wanna find them myself.” Blake says, “There are so many mushrooms around us right now that I’ve never even seen anything like this.” Gwen says, “Okay, stop, watch me not be able to find them; they are right here.” She points, “Oh my gosh, Blake, they’re everywhere.” She screams. “OH MY GOSH, WHAT? Are they overgrown, though?” Shelton responds, “No.” He starts to cut them and holds one in his hand, and shrieks, “Eureka!” The couple both begin to cut and pick them.” Later, Blake fries them up when they get home.
For those who do not know, according to All Recipes, Morel mushrooms are a type of wild mushroom with an earthy, nutty flavor. They have a meaty texture, unlike the more slimy texture of other mushroom varieties. These mushrooms are a highly desired ingredient among chefs and mushroom enthusiasts. The reason? They’re only grown in the wild, unlike farmed mushrooms you’ll find in the grocery store.

When Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were dating, the daily tabloids were going crazy with them with untrue stories of them cheating on one another, having a baby together, getting married (before they actually did tie the knot), and much more. You would think the couple would just hate those tabloid covers, but not so much. They actually saved every one of them and put them to good use at their home in Oklahoma.
In an interview in December, Gwen told The Wall Street Journal, “When we built our house last year in Oklahoma, in one of the bathrooms going out to the pool is every single tabloid cover, made into wallpaper.” She added, “You go in there, and you’re like, ‘Oh, my God.’ It’s pretty funny.”
Stefani also talked about the couple’s love for growing flowers together in the Sooner State. She said, “We can come together on that because I love flowers so much, and he has so much land out there. We’ll do fields of things. We’re just sitting there waiting for it to rain.”
