Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Use Tabloids as Wallpaper
For a good six years when Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were dating, the daily tabloids were going crazy with them with untrue stories of them cheating on one another, having a baby together, and getting married (before they actually did tie the knot) and much more. You would think the couple would just hate those tabloid covers, but not so much. They actually saved every one of them and put them to good use at their home in Oklahoma.
In a new interview, Gwen told The Wall Street Journal, “When we built our house last year in Oklahoma, in one of the bathrooms going out to the pool is every single tabloid cover, made into wallpaper.” She added, “You go in there, and you’re like, ‘Oh, my God.’ It’s pretty funny.”
Stefani also talked about the couple’s love for growing flowers together in the Sooner State. She said, “We can come together on that because I love flowers so much, and he has so much land out there. We’ll do fields of things. We’re just sitting there waiting for it to rain.”
Gwen went on to tell the publication about holiday traditions she, Blake and her three boys — Kingston, 16; Zuma, 14; and Apollo, 8, whom she shares with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale — do each year. She explained, “Blake likes to make new traditions every year. We do this thing called a timpano dome, which is an Italian dome; it’s kind of like a lasagna within a pizza. We’ve been doing that ever since I met him. It was in a famous movie (Big Night). You can put anything in it.”
Stefani recently posted several video clips of cookie-making on her Instagram. The video starts with Gwen in a blue hoodie that boasts her hometown of Anaheim, California, from her kitchen, explaining that she and Blake have a song together called “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.” She says, “In the song, we talk about sweet gingerbread, and I am about to make some, so I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.” The video shows all the cooking supplies and her getting started with the mixer. Then it shows a clip of Shelton holding a ball of dough and wearing a Hawaiian shirt. He says, “This is made with molasses, sweet.” When she pulls the cookies out of the oven, she brings them over to Blake, sitting in the living room next to a Christmas tree on his phone; he takes one. Then the couple shares a sweet kiss. Another clip shows Shelton giving a cookie to the family dog as the kids look on, and Gwen laughs.
