Morgan Wallen’s First Stadium Date Set A Record In Texas

Morgan Wallen set a new attendance record at his first headlining stadium concert at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday night (10/8), where he played for 43,500 people.

“This is a special night for me, my band, and crew,” Wallen said that night as he paused for several minutes to collect himself and take in the at-capacity crowd. As he introduced his band, he added, “We started out rehearsing in one of my buddy’s mom’s basements…and this is not quite a basement.”

His band joined Morgan at the edge of the stage as they kicked off the next song, met with bras thrown on stage and arms pumping in the air as Wallen’s fans stood the entire set, swaying and singing along.

Morgan posted several photos from the stadium concert in Texas on Instagram. He captioned the photo dump, “The Dangerous Tour came to a close with our first-ever stadium headline show. 43,500 people in attendance to break the venue’s previous record. I’m in the studio right now working on new music, or I would write a novel about this.”

He added, “For now, a huge thank you to everyone involved in this tour and all the fans who made it possible. Love ya. Also, God Bless Texas.”

Many fans commented on the post, including one who wrote, “Modern Day George Strait.” Another dye-hard wrote, “Texas loves you, Morgan!!! This was the greatest concert ever!! Thank you for being the humble, country-loving, awesome Tennessee human you are!”

Morgan’s “Dangerous Tour” broke records in 30 venues across the country during its 8-month-long run. Highlights include last weekend’s historic Globe Life show, which became the fastest sellout in the venue’s history and surpassed attendance records previously held by artists such as Elton John and Lady Gaga.

The tour’s high demand also led Wallen to sell out 11 of the venues faster than any other act while simultaneously breaking attendance records with stops at XFINITY Theatre, AmericanBank Center, and Darien Lake Amphitheater, among others.
