Tyler Hubbard Announces His First Solo Single, ‘5 Foot 9’
Tyler Hubbard has been working on his solo project for over a year for EMI Records Nashville. After sharing previews of new music on his socials earlier this week, Tyler revealed the lead single “5 Foot 9” comes out May 20 and impacts country radio on May 23.
He posted a short clip of the song on Instagram, “Excited to share my first single drops next Friday, 5/20. Pre-save “5 Foot 9″ to hear it FIRST. Can’t wait to hear what y’all think.”
Hubbard wrote “5 Foot 9” with Jaren Johnston and Chase McGill. As he works towards his first solo album release, Hubbard said in a press release, “Songwriting is central to everything I do as an artist. It has allowed me to connect with fans for many years, and I’m excited for everyone to hear new music for a new chapter in my career.”
In addition to his work as the lead singer of Florida Georgia Line, Hubbard has written cuts for artists across multiple genres, including Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, Thomas Rhett, Nelly, and Bebe Rexha.
