United Flight Going To Miami Made Emergency Landing After Someone’s Ear Was Bit Off
There were several reports over the weekend about the rowdy and unruly crowds in Miami for spring break. Complex states that Miami Beach was forced to declare a state of emergency, the Mayor put a curfew in effect, and authorities filtered roads heading into the South Beach area.
And it appears as if drama related to Miami was also happening in the air.
Business Insider reports that a flight from Newark to Miami made an emergency landing after a disruptive passenger bit and punched other passengers. According to police reports, he even bit another person’s ear off.
The outlet states that John Yurkovich was agitated after a visit to the bathroom. Yurkovich then began to scream and thrash around, and he also hit another passenger and broke their glasses.
Afterward, a doctor on the flight tried to give John Benadryl to relax him. When police got to him, his hands were tied behind his back with zip ties and a belt. Police later found 1.5 grams of meth in his pocket. He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines.
