Kane Brown closed out last night's (6/3) CMT Heroes Special with a peaceful and on point performance of Ben E. King's classic "Stand By Me."

Brown performed in a studio in Nashville highlighting his smooth vocal skills as he sat on a stool.

The performance was the final song of the night, ending a two-hour special that featured Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Sam Hunt and Thomas Rhett.

"CMT A Salute To Heroes" honored the heroes working on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.

Many celebrities and country singers spotlighted teachers, nurses, grocers, farmers and entrepreneurs who stepped up to keep running over the last 12 weeks. Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Shelton and Brothers Osborne shared personal stories.

The CMT special came on a night that would have been the annual CMT Awards and also takes the place of the annual CMT Artists of the Year special.
