Lindsay Ell Squeals Over CMA Nomination
Lindsay Ell took to her socials this morning to share a video of her excitement over being nominated in the Musical Event Category for a CMA Award for her duet “What Happens In A Small Town” with Brantley Gilbert.
Lindsay says in the video, “I just woke up and found out that Brantley and I got nominated for a CMA and it is so flipping crazy, I am so excited. Thank you so much. We will see you in November.”
She posted, “My squeal sounds like a dolphin…but OMG WE GOT NOMINATED FOR A @CMA!!! Thank you SO much for loving this song and making it a part of your lives. @brantleygilbert & I are so grateful. We will see you in November!!! #WHIAST #BGNation.”
This is Lindsay’s very first CMA nomination.
Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
