Cole Swindell: Inspired By Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan
Cole Swindell sat with his buddy Luke Bryan yesterday (5/14) to chat about their upcoming “Sunset Repeat” tour and Cole mentioned who inspired him early on from the stage.
After joking about needing to be as fit and chiseled as Tim McGraw on tour but wasn’t quite there yet, Cole shared, “I remember any concert I’ve been to. We headlined last year, but I’ve been the opening act [before], so any artist I’ve toured with the last five years I definitely watched them.”
Swindell did a lot of watching Luke Bryan when he opened for him. He says, “I think it was in 2005 I opened a show in Athens (Georgia) for Luke and this was a long time ago, he was just writing songs and I think he’d just gotten his record deal. He was great.”
He continued, “I went to a show in Atlanta. I went and saw Kenny Chesney and just the first time I’d seen him in an arena and how he entertained and just made every person feel like they were right there. That feeling as an entertainer whatever artist you watch and makes you feel like that. It’s how I wanna make other people feel… just how do I connect with them.”
Cole posted about the upcoming tour a few weeks back says, “#SunsetRepeatTour in just a little over a month. Y’all ready?”
