Danielle Bradbery’s Favorite Christmas Traditions
Christmas comes but once a year, and brings a long list of traditions with it. Just ask Danielle Bradbery. The “Sway” singer, who recently released a brand new album, has a few she looks forward to each year.
One happens on four wheels and in neighborhoods near her home. “We love going driving around and seeing all the lights,” she says through her record label. “And some of ’em have it [set to a local] radio station.”

Then there’s the family get-togethers. “We kind of hang out at home,” she adds, noting that she has two to spend time with. “We spend it with my mom every morning and then we go to my dad’s [and] there’s a bunch of food. One thing we every morning at my mom’s is make [and] have tamales. I have a little bit of an Hispanic heritage on my mom’s side, so that’s what my grandmother, her mom, always did. She made tamales, so that was a tradition to have every morning on Christmas.”
Danielle’s offering a little piece of herself for Christmas this year, too. Her new album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met was released earlier this month and makes a pretty good stocking stuffer. Steam the project, or download a copy here. Stay up to date on her touring schedule here.
