Brantley Gilbert: I Appreciate My Wife’s Honesty
What makes a good marriage? Brantley Gilbert has an idea.
Brantley and wife Amber have been married for just more than two years and he credits her honesty as one of her best character attributes. “She’ll tell you if you make her mad, in a hurry, which I respect that about her,” the “Bottoms Up” singer says through his record label. “I couldn’t be with somebody that was bothered by something [and] didn’t say [so]. I’m not wired that way.”
Brantley makes a point to be honest, he says. “If somebody does something in front of me that offends somebody I care about or if I feel disrespected I’m gonna make sure they know it,” he explains. “I expect that out of [Amber].”
If Brantley’s shows are any indication, fans have come to appreciate that kind of candor. Though he’s off the road for now, there’s talk of a new tour after the first of the year. Be on the lookout for upcoming dates here.
