Alan Jackson Adds To His Honky Tonk Highway Tour
The trip along the Honky Tonk Highway rolls on. We’re talking about Alan Jackson, of course.
The 2017 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee has expanded his Honky Tonk Highway Tour through the fall with a long list of stops in states including South Dakota, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Louisiana and more.
The trek began in January with sold-out shows in Oklahoma and Florida, and reviews have been appropriately kind to the superstar. “More than 25 years after Alan Jackson released his debut album, all he has to do to hype up fans is casually step up to the microphone,” Nashville’s The Tennessean reported after a Music City stop. “He did that and so much more – throughout the set, as on his albums, Jackson’s voice was unwavering and strong.”

The country music icon will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during a ceremony later this year in Nashville. “I’ve always tried to make music the first priority – not being a star, not being in the spotlight, just trying to make music that I loved, that the fans like, and not compromise that to fit into something else,” the superstar recently told Rolling Stone Country of the honor.
