Brantley Gilbert’s Open-Door Bus Policy
The sometimes-quiet Brantley Gilbert doesn’t want folks to take it the wrong way. He’s always up for some fun!
Despite his loud and rowdy onstage persona, the “Bottoms Up” singer tends to keep it low-key when he’s off stage. That doesn’t mean he’s not open to a good hang, however. “To have a voice at night, I spend a lot of time on my bus,” he says through his record label. “But I have an open door policy out there on the road. Unless there’s something very serious [like] a serious business conversation or something, I’ll be like, ‘Hey I’ll text you in a minute when this is over,’ you know, if somebody needs to talk to me about something. But everybody that’s on the road with us knows it’s not like, ‘Don’t look him in the eye, don’t talk to him, don’t go knock on the door.’ Hell no! Come on and hang out. It’ll be fun!”

There must surely be good bus stories from Brantley’s weekend concerts in Charlotte, NC and Alpharetta, GA. Combined, Brantley and his Devil Don’t Sleep Tour played to nearly 30,000 people. “We come to throw down, and the BG Nation knows how to do that,” he says through his label. “I love being outside in the summer – and the energy the fans bring. It’s not just about the party, it’s about the music, and it’s awesome when we have crowds like this weekend.”
