Las Vegas Teacher Arrested For Injuring 10 Year Old: Metro
It takes a special someone to be a great teacher. There are so many amazing teachers in Clark County School District that deserve our love and respect. That said, there are too many that are getting on the wrong side of the law. One Las Vegas teacher arrested recently and the reason is obscene.
47 year old Mateusz Baran was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Thursday, December 12th following an investigation into an injury a 10 year old student sustained, allegedly at his hand.
What Was The Las Vegas Teacher Arrested For?
According to the police report, the Principal at Sunrise Acres Elementary School near the intersection of North Eastern Avenue and Interstate 11 explained that a 10 year old student tripped, and as he did spilled water being held by another student.
When Baran witnessed that, the Principal says he grabbed the boy by his shoulder and pushed him to the ground roughly, telling him to clean up the mess he caused. Other children also witnessed the incident.
After the mother picked up her son, she brought him to University Medical Center where it was discovered he had sustained a sprained shoulder.
The student admitted to police that the Las Vegas teacher apologized and told him to keep it a secret. Thankfully, he did not.
What Happens Now?
At the present time, Baran is on paid administrative leave as the child abuse charge goes through the legal system. The teacher is expected in court in January.
Some people are not cut out for teaching. This Las Vegas teacher joins the laundry list of other charges from football coaches, other football coaches, soccer coaches, security guards, other coaches and more that have found themselves on the wrong side of the law in the Clark County School District.
