UPS Driver Amazing Saves A Grandmother, Now Visits Hospital Weekly
This UPS driver deserves a medal, not just for the initial heroic action but for the subsequent heartfelt gestures afterwards! These are the kind of stories we love to highlight on The Andie Summers Show with Jeff Kurkjian, Donnie and Shannon.
UPS Driver Hailed As A Hero
UPS driver Raheem Cooper noticed a woman collapsed in her driveway while executing his normal route. He quickly rushed to her side, the entire time calling her “grandma” and called proper medical attention to rush her to the hospital.
“Grandma” also known better as Marie Cobble, was not in great shape. She was quickly rushed into brain surgery! She had a subdural hematoma that was operated on successfully and she’s recovering.
Cobble’s granddaughter was able top track down Cooper, the heroic UPS Driver and thank him over the phone for his amazing heroic actions. That’s when things took a turn for the even better. Five days after the operation, Cooper shows up at the hospital to give his best wishes to “grandma.”
Cobble’s granddaughter, according to GoodNewsNetwork. “And when he came into the room, she brightened up and actually pushed herself up and gave him a hug. That’s the first time since this whole thing has happened.”
The UPS driver started a GoFundMe for the family and insisted on giving $100 of his own dollars to help kickstart it off. As if saving her life wasn’t enough, right??? Cooper received a noted from UPS’s Chief Executive Officer commending his act of heroism, rightfully deserved. We all think for sure that he needs a raise!
