The Andie Summers Show Helps Coach Poppy Trabosh Find A Kidney
A good friend of The Andie Summers Show and XTU Nation member, George Trabosh, better known as “Coach Poppy” is more than a coach. He has been a role model for students and athletes in and around Montgomery County for decades. Poppy has coached club and college volleyball and basketball for nearly half a century. During that time, Coach made a lasting, positive impact on the development of young women and their families. Ask anyone he coached and they will tell you that Coach Poppy is one of a kind. He built up his athletes and made them better people.
Poppy was also a teacher for 39 years. Upon retirement, he was diagnosed with end stage polycystic kidney disease. While he battled for his own life, Poppy’s wife of 42-years, Lucille, lost her battle with cancer. She left behind their sons Matthew and Stephen, daughter Regina, and a broken hearted Coach. He has been battling on dialysis for almost a year and is desperate for a donor. Now, The Andie Summers Show helps Coach Poppy Trabosh find a kidney.
