Pete Rose: Hall of Fame Releases Interesting Statement
“Pete Rose Hall of Fame” are two phrases that never seemed to go together. But now that Pete Rose has died, will those things change? The controversial hit king has had many stories told about him but I bet you haven’t heard this one.
In 24 seasons, he amassed 4,256 hits, the most in Major League Baseball history. He is only one of two players to ever record 4,000 hits. However, he was never inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame due to a checkered past of gambling on games while playing and managing.
Pete Rose Hall of Fame?
To this day, it is still a debate amongst true baseball fans of whether or not Pete Rose should be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, many saying that it may only happen after the hit king dies. Now only time will tell if that changes, my personal opinion is that one day he will be inducted posthumously.
The Instagram account @BaseballHall did post about the late Rose on their page. Pete Rose’s Hall of Fame status will forever be debated.
The post simply reads “The Hall of Fame remembers Pete Rose, MLB’s all-time hits and games played leader, who passed away on Monday. ‘Charlie Hustle’ won three batting titles, earned 17 All-Star Game selections and won three World Series championships.”
I am not saying that he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but it is interesting to me that after years of controversy, they would come out and make a post at all. As you might imagine, the comments are quite angry about not letting him into the National Baseball Hall of Fame!
